Every year since April 2, 1996, the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Russia and Belarus has been celebrated. To the address of the acting head of the administration of the city of Murmansk Valentina Dotsnik received congratulations from the Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Vladimir Kukharev. The message specifically says:
“26 years ago, an agreement was signed on the formation of a community between Belarus and Russia, which became the first significant step towards integration cooperation between the countries. Since then, much has been done to strengthen the Belarusian-Russian partnership.
We express hope for further cooperation and mutual understanding between Minsk and Murmansk in order to continue the development of bilateral ties.
We wish further prosperity to the city, and to all its inhabitants health, happiness and well-being!".
